It is hard to believe that 8 years ago I became a grandmother. That night I fell in love! My beautiful granddaughter was born! I had waited so long on grandchildren and I finally had one. She was perfect! She was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. She had a head full of black hair that came down on her neck! (My babies were bald!) She had big blue eyes just like her Gran Gran and daddy! She was and is truly a gift from God! I immediately named her Boo. She stole my heart!
On her day off school for the Chicken Festival this year, her Mama and I took her to Nashville, TN to the American Girl Doll store. I don't know who had more fun, Boo, her Mama or me! It was a wonderful trip. She has always said she wants to be a baker and live in Paris when she grows up, so she chose the doll Grace Thomas who is a baker and lives in Paris France! We had lunch in the café at AG and picked out lots of accessories for Grace and Boo!
So today marks the 8th year I have had my Boo and every day of those 8 years has been wonderful! 17 months ago, Boo became a big sister to Jack! She is a wonderful big sister!
My heart melted all over again when Jack was born! Who knows what the next 8 years will bring? Only God knows! Happy 8th birthday Boo! Papaw and I love you to the moon and back!
